What are the Blueprints of Destruction, where did they come from, and where are they now? How do they pertain to the story of the first book, and what do they have to do with what happened on the Barge? Were these Blueprints responsible for the intrigue and betrayal, or are they the plans being carried out which will be the saving grace?
In the end, the Blueprints of Destruction are the vehicles used to learn how to tell a story. Have you ever wondered how to make a story? …I mean how to write a truly great story?
Join PhranqenLu on a journey of discovery, where you will learn the tips and tricks they used to build a world, establish characters (both the ones we love and the ones we hate, as well as the ones we hate to love and vise versa), harvest intrigue, and investigate the heartbreak and betrayal.
You may not get to see the foundation of the Quad-City, Qualx, get poured, or the first Great Victor fill the Seas of Men (the vats filled early on as part of the city’s internal cooling system). What you will see is how characters are born, why it is not critical that you are necessarily creative in order to develop them, and how to craft the arcs your characters must go through in order for them to be either loved or hated for all the right and wrong reasons. You will learn what makes a great plot, what subplots will add to or take away from the theme of your story, and how to successfully use symbolism and imagery to create and resolve tension and conflict.
Dive into the cultures of the many species, and as you find out why some are citizens while others are merely fending for their lives against those who have the legal right to exploit them, you will also learn how to use suspense and foreshadowing to create emotional impact. You will watch the processes we went through to determine pacing, figure out what narrative point of view worked best for us and why, how and when to use dialogue as compared to description, and be given the opportunity to practice using your own voice to ease into the realm of successfully writing.
This is the very question which launched the Blueprints of Destruction, and one we are beginning to hear more and more. The point of this website is to do exactly that. “Can you help me write a story?” The answer is a resounding, “Yes!” You have brilliant ideas, which have been swimming in your mind – perhaps for years – and it is time to let them take on a life of their own.
Surprisingly, you do not need to consider yourself as all that creative. You do not have to be a great writer. You don’t even have to know how to write a story, for that matter (at least not yet). You will be surprised to find the creativity hiding just below the surface!
Come with us, and we will not only teach you to write a story, but we will actually show you how. And we will do it by showing you the good, the bad, and the ugly behind the processes we used to determine how to start a story, how to create a plot and carry that into a story line and show you how easy it can be to discover your own story. You are invited to a step-by-step story writing adventure. You can follow along for as long as you like, and when you are ready to take that first step, we will be here to cheer you on, and help you see writing is not as scary as you might have thought.
The question is not, “Can you write a story?” The real question is whether you are ready to roll up your sleeves and start putting into writing the story you have already been writing in your head for who-knows-how-long? Let’s be honest. You don’t need to make up a story. You already have one, and you would love to tell it (perhaps you just don't know how yet... or are not sure where to start).
Far too often, the problem is not that
we want someone to show us how to make up a story. More often than not, we
simply need someone to point the way. We haven't been able to build the confidence on our own, and might only need someone to show us the way. Our
fear of the unknown and the fear of it “not being good enough” is all we need
to push our desire to write aside and look for a good book on the shelf.
Can you write a story? Of course you can! And now is the time! We will help you! This is more than story writing tips. This is us working, imagining, and coming together to show you how amazing, and how freeing, writing your story can be! This is where you peel back the layers of your own Blueprints of Destruction, and determine what that can mean for you!
If you are wondering how to start a storyline, then you are in the right place! This is the first, and easiest, way to find out how to begin a story. You start it together, never alone! What is a storyline, after all, but a journey, an adventure, you share with others!
